Welcome to Ms. Wright's studio where Kindergarten through third grade students attend art class once per week for 40 minutes. We explore different cultures, learn about various artists through history, and experiment and create with many different forms of art media.

Local Art Classes

Many parents have asked me for ideas for summer art camps and after school art programs.  There are so many local choices!  Here are some suggestions....

Fiddlehead Art & Science Center
This is a link to the Gray, Maine site.  My son has attended Lego Robotics at the Scarborough site.  They provide fun after school and summer arts and science programs for kids.

Maine College of Art
For the serious artist!  MECA has wonderful Saturday morning classes for kids grades 4-12.  I still have wonderful memories of my own Saturday morning experience taking a ceramics course.

Oak Street Studios
My friend Beth Wilbur Van Mierlo started Oak Street Studios in 1999.  She and a group of talented instructors work with very small groups of children in a range of activities.

Portland Pottery
If your child wants to explore clay more, than this is the place to go.

Schoolhouse Arts Center
I've never been here, but have heard many positive things.  Located in Standish, Maine.
